Baby Please Come Home!

Posted : 9 months, 1 week ago on 28 November 2007 08:39 (A review of Merry Christmas)

Though its one of the greatest Christmas albums of all time, this is my favorite. Mariah really delivers with her latest multi-platinum record, she could possibly be identified as the embodiment of the holiday. Mariah has stated she is quite the festive spirit, and she proves herself here. Her vocals are flawless and in perfect harmony with the holiday joy. The style of singing in this great album has a certain classic taste to it. "All I Want For Christmas Is You" had been thought to be a covered classic, but many were surprised to find Mariah Carey (who writes her own material) & once long-time close friend Walter Afanasieff wrote the song.

I'm Definately Feeling Emotions!

Mariah's voice is always a beautiful power to behold. The first five songs are amazing, the other half of the album are of another taste, but the voice remains. "Emotions" is a song of youthful spirit. "And You Don't Remember" & "If It's Over" are testaments of the human soul. Definately more depth manifesting itself within this voice of a goddess. This is another record I am glad I have.

In The Beginning...

Posted : 9 months, 1 week ago on 27 November 2007 03:25 (A review of Mariah Carey)

Okay, "The Voice" is amazing here, it is beautiful and there is a hue of sadness within it, but with a youthful strength it promises to endure hell. Though one-third of these tracks don't live on due to the time-trapped sound; the vocals are immortal. This is when Mariah's voice was untouchable. If this voice had been just a bit well guarded it would have remained strong till the day it actually saw the day of Mariah's evolved sound of soul and depth. The vocals are awe-inspiring, and for those who admire the human voice, this record is a must. I personally own all of Mariah Carey's CDs, and I am still enthralled by this dramatic-coloratura soprano. The Best-Selling Album of 1991, Four Number-One Singles, Massively Underrated (Only Two Grammys! That's why I go with Billboard, less political. Again this happens with Mariah Carey's 2005 album as well, the best-selling album of that year, and who gets the award? U2. You know, the guys who go all political to make more money. The Grammys are crap!)
